It is time for me to begin my first blog.
My very first entry, and God willing, the first of many.
For some time now this site has seen little improvement due to a lack of effort on my part, but now is the time to move forward in sharing that which I have learned. And God willing, it is my intention to post regularly with the idea of bringing like-minded Christians together in pursuit of the truth, and to study the Word of the Lord.
It has been several years since I began this website, and over time I have labored to make sure my foundations so that my house may be established upon that rock which is Christ, for He is the foundation upon which the house is to be built, as He is the living stone, a living foundation which gives life to those who come to Him, so that the house which is built upon Him, becomes a living house.
That house grows and is made sure as it receives life-giving nutrients from the source, which is the rock of ages, the living foundation.
“Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established.” II Chronicles 20:20.
In this text the words “believe” and “be established,” are both from the one root, “Amen,” and we might read it thus: “Build upon the Lord your God, so shall ye be built up.” But the foundation upon which we build is righteous: “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” Psalm 92:15
Therefore since faith means to build upon God and His Holy Word, it is self-evident that faith is righteousness to the one who possesses and exercises it.
Jesus Christ is the source of all faith. Faith has its beginning and end in Him, so there can be no real faith that does not center in Christ.
Therefore when Abraham believed in the Lord, he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Father has never been revealed to man except through Christ.
Therefore the subject for this blog will be the preaching of the Gospel, for it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, the power of God, in us.
“according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints; to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:25-27
The Life of Jesus Christ is reproduced in us by a faith that works-a working faith. We are therefore fully assured that the Gospel is Christ in us, and the preaching of it, is the making known to us that Christ does in fact dwell in us by faith.
This agrees with the angel that they should call the name of Jesus, “Emmanuel, which, being interpreted is, God with us;” Matthew 1:23
As well as the testimony of Paul that the mystery of God is God manifest in the flesh. The life of Jesus is to be manifested in mortal flesh until He comes again.
I propose to let the Lord guide me with the content, I will post that which I feel lead to post, but the focus will be on the study of Scripture, prophecy in the news today, world events, and how these events may or may not be played out in Prophecy. I will also be sharing my thoughts and ideas on these events, and that will include Bible studies, of which most will be brief, but others, as required will be in far more detail.
I hope you will join me in the future as we take the narrow path, to discover of the sure Word of God.
